B1G Baseball Regular Season Finale

The Indiana Baseball Hoosiers, under the guidance of their Skipper, Tracy Smith, play the last two regular-season B1G games of 2012 Friday and Saturday at Sembower Field against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Hoosiers won game one of this three-game series by coming back from an 8-1 deficit on Thursday to win 10-8. The win clinched their involvement in the B1G post-season tournament and a sweep of this weekend series could lead to a first-round bye next week in Columbus. The Hoosiers and Penn State entered the weekend tied at 13-8 but Indiana would have the tie-breaker as they took two of three from the Nittany Lions on the first weekend of the conference season. This weekend is also the final weekend in the history of Marty Sembower Field. Opened in 1951, Sembower has been the home of Indiana Baseball for over 60 years but will give way to brand-new Kaufman Stadium in 2013. Kaufman Stadium and the brand-new I.U. Softball Stadium are currently under construction on where the intra-murals fields used to be and will be ready for opening day 2013. Come cheer on your Hoosiers and say goodbye to Sembower this Friday and Saturday. Don't forget, all games are FREE admission!

Best of luck to the I.U.'s Men's Golf Team as they are in NCAA regional action this week and weekend. The Hoosiers, under the direction of Mike Mayer, were the No. 5 seed in the Greensboro Regional. The five best teams of 14 in this regional qualify for the NCAA championship. The Hoosier got off to a slow start on Thursday and currently sit in ninth place. The Hoosiers play 18 on Friday and 18 more on Saturday so they have some time to catch the leaders. You can follow their progress here.

Cup

The UEFA Champion's League Final is Saturday afternoon and Yogi's will have all the action from 2 p.m. The UEFA Champion's League is a season-long tournament that is contested by the best club sides in Europe. The final will pit English outfit Chelsea FC versus perennial German powerhaus (see what I did there?) Bayern Munchen. Interestingly enough, the final, which is determined years in advance, will be played on Bayern's home park. Chelsea has never won the former European Cup as they were defeated on penalties by Manchester United in 2008 in Moscow. The Germans are four-times European Champions with their last triumph coming on penalties against Spanish side Valencia in 2001 in Milan, Italy. Soccer fans don't forget that Yogi's will also be showing EURO 2012 starting next month as Poland and Ukraine will be the host countries.

Your Indiana Pacers kicked off the weekend in style on Thursday night by smashing the Miami Heat all over Bankers Life Field House 94-75 in game three of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals in the NBA playoffs. The Pacers now lead the best-of-seven game series 2-1. Game four is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon as the Pacers try to take a 3-1 lead back to South Beach. The winner of game three has gone on to win the series 77% of the time in playoff history so head to Yogi's on Sunday to help the Pacers get one more win closer to the Eastern Conference finals.

There is not a better way to celebrate American Craft Beer Week at Yogi's with craft beer and baseball. Not just ordinary baseball, but interleague baseball! The Cubs host the White Sox this Friday afternoon to kick off the interleague weekend. The Reds head to Yankee Stadium, the Tigers host the Pirates, Houston plays Texas and the Brewers and Twins will throw sausages at each other as well tonight. Enjoy a Six Point, Southern Tier or Sam Adams on Friday night for one dollar less than usual!

Craft Beer Week

We leave you with this one for the weekend for the Futbol fans. Even Yogi would be proud of this one!

Enjoy the weekend!
